WHO WE ARE

The sheer number of individuals being trafficked in the world today can be overwhelming, but here at Rescue Her, we do not focus on the magnitude of the problem. Instead, we focus on helping the ONE survivor in front of us… then another, and another. For over 10 years, we have been empowering, supporting, and praying for the ONE. We’ve done this through crisis response, advocacy, safe homes, street outreach, education/prevention, and facilitating rescue operations. From India to Moldova to right here in Texas, we have assisted survivors all across the globe. No matter where we are or what we’re doing, we fight for her. We believe that most people want to fight trafficking - they just don’t know how. Rescue Her is a place that allows those who want to take action to do so. Together we are making a difference!

Currently, our efforts are focused on our crisis response and advocacy program for female adult survivors in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. You can read more about our current programs under What We Do.

We are ordinary people who believe we can make a difference together.

Our Executive Director

Sarah Phillips is the Executive Director of Rescue Her. She graduated with a degree in Community, Family, and Addiction Services from Texas Tech and is also trained in several trauma-informed models. She spent almost 2 years living in India establishing Rescue Her’s first safe house for survivors of trafficking. After moving back to the DFW area in 2015, Sarah has led the development of Rescue Her’s crisis response for adult victims of trafficking, as well as established the Empower Program – a long-term advocacy program for survivors. She is passionate about raising up leaders in the anti-trafficking field who have the knowledge and support necessary to thrive in this field long-term.
